Introducing The Arab Card Game and the inspiration behind it!

Welcome to our inaugural blog post! The journey of the Arab Card Game began in 2022 with a mission close to my heart.

Observing the burgeoning Card Game industry during the COVID-19 era, I noticed a significant gap – there was no representation for Arabs. As families sought social connections through board games and card games, I found myself wandering through the aisles of Target, only to realize that cards representing nearly every cultural group were present, except for Arabs. Determined to change this narrative, I embarked on a journey to create something meaningful.

The need for diverse Arab representation beyond food and restaurants became apparent. While Arab cuisine is undeniably exceptional, our culture deserved representation in other facets of life.

Thus, the idea for the First Arab Card Game was born. Starting with the acronym "Are you Really Arab Bro?" (ARAB), I immersed myself in Arab-centric content across social media and streaming platforms. From watching shows like Ramy and Dubai Bling to indulging in stand-up comedy, I absorbed every aspect of Arab culture. Drawing inspiration from my favorite card game, Black Card Revoked, I infused it with an Arab twist, crafting trivia questions that reflected our rich heritage.

The journey from concept to creation was marked by determination and perseverance. Crafting the initial prototype using Powerpoint and printing it at a local store, I enlisted the help of family to test the game. With their feedback, I refined the game, leading to a pre-release and ultimately, the First Edition.

Personal growth was a driving force behind this endeavor. Overcoming the inertia that often accompanies mere ideas, I challenged myself to transform concepts into tangible products. Despite encountering self-doubt and skepticism, I pushed forward, determined to break barriers and defy naysayers.

Fast forward to 2024, and we've expanded our offerings with a second game, having produced over 1000 units. Stay tuned for more on our upcoming Meme Edition!
